Chinook Blast 2026’s LAST WEEK: We’re ending things off with a bang!

It’s been a chinook all month long and the party is still going strong! This week is your LAST chance to experience our hottest festival yet! Over the Family Day Long Weekend, we’ll be bringing you four days of live music, light installations, art, cultural moments, and more!

Friday, February 13

Eau Claire Plaza

9 AM – 5 PM | Live Ice Carving presented by Calgary Chinatown BIA and partners! We’re welcoming master ice sculptors from Heilongjiang, China, home of the world’s largest ice and snow festival, as they transform massive blocks of ice into stunning works of art! Finishing touches at Eau Claire Plaza will be at 5 PM.

RISE UP Calgary Community Stage

5:30 – 10 PM | The ImaginAsian Showcase by Asian Heritage Foundation will feature exciting performances from Calgary’s diverse Asian Canadian communities. Experience vibrant, dynamic, and diverse genres from Asian Jazz, pop, to traditional music!

6 – 7 PM | Serious Family Fun with Calgary Opera. Join professional performers for an interactive performance!

Saturday, February 14

Chinese Cultural Centre

11 AM – 5 PM | Chinese Lunar New Year Festival 2026 will showcase captivating activities such as dragon and lion dances, multicultural performances, provide access to a museum and art exhibitions, multicultural local food vendors, and more!

RISE UP Calgary Community Stage

6:30 – 10 PM | Blue Jay Sessions: Amped Up! Is a fun, full-band offshoot of the award-winning songwriters’ showcase series. This evening will feature three sets of high-energy, original songs from paired up Canadian artist duos.

Sunday, February 15

1:15–1:45 PM | World-Class Freestyle Soccer Showcase. Experience a special freestyle soccer performance led by three global icons of the game.

Monday, February 16

RISE UP Calgary Community Stage​

  • 12–1 PM | Skinny Blaiz and Ray Val, presented by Ethnik Festivals. Kick-off Family Day with Afropop and R&B hits from local artists.
  • 1:30–2:15 PM | Bollywood Jam with Dhanak. Groove and jam to upbeat Bollywood hits and contemporary South Asian sounds.
  • 3–4 PM | DJ Jadé will close out our 2026 festival with unique genre-bending tracks.

Roving Performers
