The main entrance of Eau Claire Plaza is at 2nd Ave and Barclay Parade SW beside the Sheraton Suites.
Pedestrians can also access the site from the north side via the Bow River Pathway.
Markets will be held at the Chinese Cultural Centre (197 1 St SW) a five minute walk from Eau Claire Plaza.

STREET PARKING
Some street parking is available around the Plaza, including on the south side along 3rd avenue, to the west on 4th street and to the east on 5th street.

Parking Lots
& Parkades
Several paid parking lots and parkades are within walking distance of the Plaza. View the lots nearest the Plaza, here.
Rates vary based on the lot you park in, follow the signs.
Tip! From Feb. 9–15, evening parking (6 p.m. – 6 a.m.) is just $1 at all Calgary Parking parkades and surface lots. Only available through the MyParking app or Pay as Guest. Third-party lots excluded.
public transit
With the C-Train running through downtown, and multiple bus stops just steps away, public transit is a great way to get to the Plaza. Fairs can be purchased the same day on buses, at train platforms, or in advance with the MyFair App.

Winter biking
Bike racks are available near Eau Claire Plaza (along 3rd ave and near Joey’s). Be sure to bring a lock to secure your bike.
Paths may be icy, please wear a helmet and ride with caution.

What to Bring
If you know Calgary, you know our weather can change at the drop of a toque, so come prepared. Dress in layers; bring warm, waterproof outerwear, hat, gloves, scarf and warm footwear with good traction.
Have your phone fully charged, there are plenty of photo opportunities.
Many vendors accept cards, but some pocket change can be helpful.
Weather & Safety
Chinook Blast takes place outdoors in winter conditions. Expect snow, ice, slush and chilly temperatures.
Snow-clearing and de-icing will be performed, but surfaces may remain slippery, use caution.
Warming stations are throughout the Plaza!
In the case of severe weather, some events may be delayed or cancelled. Follow us on socials for live updates.
Accessibility
Most of the Plaza is one level with few stairs, so it is accessible for those with mobility aids.
Accessible washrooms and sensory-friendly quiet spaces are available.
Comfortably explore Chinook Blast with All-Terrain Wheelchairs, available for rent at the Skate Hut.
First Aid & Medical
The first aid tent is located near the entrance of the Plaza by the Dome.
On-site medical staff available during festival hours. For emergencies call 9-1-1.
For minor injuries, seek the first aid tent or any staff member for assistance.
Alcohol Policy
The Beer Garden presented by Eighty-Eight Brewery, is open to everyone.
To be served you must be 18+ with a valid government ID. IDs will be checked.
Consumption only allowed in licensed areas. No outside alcohol permitted.
Please drink responsibly.
Don’t drink and drive.
Children
Chinook Blast is fun for the whole family with all-ages entertainment every weekend.
Children must be supervised at all times.
In the case of a lost child, report immediately to the nearest staff member or the information tent. Staff will help coordinate reunification.
Service Animals & PETS
Please keep service animals leashed at all times.
Non-service pets may be restricted in certain festival zones (Beer Garden, Lagoon, restaurants, etc.).
Please consider crowd sizes and noise before bringing your pets.
Lost & Found
Turn in found items to the Info Tent (located beside the Dome). Items will be stored until the last day of the festival.
