Warm weather, big weekend energy! Chinook Blast weekend 2 is here!

Another Chinook is rolling in, and the party isn’t slowing down. ✨ Join us this weekend at Eau Claire Plaza and the Chinese Cultural Centre for more winter fun. We’ll be bringing you another weekend of interactive light installations, live music, DJ sets, an Indigenous market and more!

🕧 When: February 6 – 8 (performances start at 5:30 PM on Friday and Saturday, no performances on Sunday)

🎟️ Cost: FREE admission

*Please note: ice skating and ice biking at The Lagoon will be closed this weekend due to the warm weather (these chinooks really understood the assignment).

Chinese Cultural Centre

No performances at Eau Claire Plaza, but it’s your last chance to check out  the Frost Winter Market by Authentically Indigenous at the Chinese Cultural Centre, don’t miss it!

Installations

We’ve scoured near and far to bring you stunning installations that transform winter into a glowing playground. Expect projection mapping, LED displays, interactive arches, illuminated swings, and awe-worthy structures throughout the site. Pro tip: bring your camera. Check out all the installations.

Performances and Activities

Calling all artists! International textile designer and local artist, Mohar Gupta will be hosting a tie dye on paper activity open to all ages! 6 – 8 PM.

Roving performers for the weekend will include Three Left Feet, Puppet Stuff Canada, Le Cirque de la Nuit (🔥 fire dancers during –MOVE–), and Little Red Ball!
