Calling All Event Creators: Help Shape Calgary’s Signature Winter Festival

Chinook Blast is back from January 30 to February 16, 2026, and we’re inviting passionate individuals and organizations to help us bring our new festival location at Eau Claire Plaza alive with unforgettable experiences!

Are you an experienced organizer with a background in arts, sport, or live programming? Do you want to show off a live performance or a unique cultural program? This is your chance to showcase your talent, engage the community, and add your voice to Calgary’s biggest celebration of winter!

As part of our Friends of Chinook Blast funding, we’re providing opportunities of up to $5,000 (inclusive of GST) to support your event or program. We’ll be giving priority to projects that activate at least a portion of programming at our new Chinook Blast Hub location, Eau Claire Plaza & Prince’s Island Lagoon! Whether it’s music, dance, theatre, athletic showcases, or one-of-a-kind experiences, we want to see your ideas shine on our festival stage.
