Call for food trucks: Chinook Blast 2026

Be part of Calgary’s signature winter festival.

Chinook Blast returns to downtown Calgary with a vibrant mix of art, music, light, sports, and culture. Eau Claire Plaza and the Prince’s Island Lagoon will serve as our main outdoor hub, and we’re inviting food trucks that can bring energy, creativity, and warmth to thousands of guests.

We’re looking for vendors who can keep up with foot traffic, deliver bold, wintery flavours, and serve in cold weather. If your truck can run in minus 20 degrees Celsius, has an approved food license according Alberta Health Services, serves great signature dishes, and helps create a welcoming, vibrant experience, we want you.

What we’re looking for

Fully winterized food trucks only (no tents or trailers)
Menus that are creative, high-quality, and cold-weather friendly
Vendors willing to offer a Chinook Blast–branded or signature festival menu item
Ability to operate in temperatures down to minus 20 degrees Celsius
Efficient service to handle busy crowd flow
