Glide By

Finding joy in winter can come from finding a new sport.

Try skating for free at Olympic Plaza from 4 – 9 pm on February 2. The Skate Hut will have free skate and helmet rentals while supplies last.

Or up the ante with cross-country skiing at Nordic at Night. On February 3 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm, the East Village Nordic Loop will transform into an all-ages glow party. Bring your own skis, and enjoy the roving performers, music and hot beverages.

Light Up the Night

We put on one heck of a show all around, but we might be best known for our art and light installations.

Check out this year’s line up with:

1000 Faces showcases a 12-ft sphere, raised 40 feet in the air with 1779 plexiglass tiles that mimic a school of fish or flock of birds in the Eau Claire promenade.

Starquarium is a never-before-seen intergalactic aquarium at Olympic Plaza. Interact with the exhibit and have a specimen beamed into the tank at your request.

aGoGo is back with Fire & Flow, a fire-dancing performance on February 2 from 7 – 8 pm on Stephen Avenue.

Roots/Routes mirrors the human need to ground ourselves with a trailered steel tree trunk and root system in search of water, communication and community at Olympic Plaza.

See What Else is Happening

We’ve filled this weekend with too many fun events to count. Check out our events page for food tours, musical and theatrical performances, sporting events, markets, and more.
