Sport Calgary at Olympic Plaza returns to Chinook Blast with the 2nd edition of the weekend sport festival. Join us on the ice for some fun time with demonstrations of speed skating, synchronized skating and more ice sports. Whatever your age or ability, there is something for you during the sports festival. Alberta Milk is a partner this weekend and will be on site handing out hot chocolate.
Saturday schedule:
12 pm – 1 pm: Curling Try Out from Calgary Youth Curling Association (Sign up or Drop in!)
1 pm – 2 pm: Public Skating, presented by Sport Calgary
1 pm – 1:30 pm: Nordic Walking with Scary Bunny (Meet 5 minutes before at the Sport Calgary tent)
1:45 pm- 2:15 pm: Nordic Walking with Scary Bunny (Meet 5 minutes before at the Sport Calgary tent)
2 pm – 3 pm: Synchronized Skating Demo from Calgary Synchronized Skating Club
3 pm- 4 pm: Adult Figure Skating Demo from Olympia Skating
3:30 pm- 4 pm: Nordic Walking with Scary Bunny (Meet 5 minutes before at the Sport Calgary tent)
4 pm – 5 pm: Learn to Skate (Free lessons) from Olympic Skating – skate rentals are free. (Sign up or Drop in!)

4 pm – 5 pm: Para-ice Hockey Try Out from AMP Hockey. You’re invited to try para ice hockey. Open to all abilities. (Sign up or Drop in!)
