About

Our eyes are the window to the world around us. Sometimes we don’t always really see what is right in front of us.  FROZEN EYELASHES is a fine art exhibit of winter reclamation scenes.

Hotel Arts Group and WHISKEY JACK GALLERY present an interactive art display in the hotel lobby from February 2 to 16th. As you explore our beautiful city in February, stop in for hot chocolate, or an evening beverage. A quick walk from 17th Avenue and bustling downtown Calgary, Hotel Arts lives up to its name and is providing over 9 original works of art, the artist on site, and an immersive learning experience to honor a profession of reclamation professionals who are always braving the cold in remote areas, with frozen eyelashes to ensure land disturbances have a plan to be reinstated back to a viable state.

See sites like Carburn Park in Calgary, read articles on reforesting cutlines to protect caribou habitats and watch videos and VR footage of northern Alberta muskeg and marshland reclamation sites.
